Missing Proof of Previous Ownership for Upgrade Rebate |
If your rebate submission is invalid due to missing proof of previous ownership or incorrect submission of proof of previous ownership. This means that you did not submit the correct proof of previous ownership of a retail (boxed or downloaded) stand-alone version of any McAfee software product or any Norton software product. The acceptable proof is the original product CD diskette #1, title page of manual, or your confirmation e-mail from your downloaded purchase. Please be advised that any pre-installed or supplied by manufacturer (OEM) versions do not qualify for the upgrade rebate.

UPC / Proof of Purchase
If your rebate submission is invalid due to a missing UPC or Proof of Purchase depending on which your promotion required. This means that an eligible UPC bar code or Proof of Purchase was not received, or the UPC or Proof of Purchase received was not the correct UPC/Proof of Purchase for the rebate you are requesting. You will need to send the original UPC or Proof of Purchase. The UPC is a 12-digit number under the bar code. Ten digits are directly under the bar code with one digit to the left and one digit to the right, usually beginning with a zero or a seven. The Proof of Purchase is located on the top inside flap of your software box. Please see your rebate sticker, coupon, website, or receipt to find which is required for your promotion.

Postmark Date
Your submission is invalid due to postmark date. The postmark date is the date on which the Post Office stamps your envelope. You cannot qualify for a promotion if you do not mail your
